Stereotype sind wohl so manigfaltig wie es Menschen gibt. Das Stereotyp «Indianer» ist eines davon. Was hat es zu bedeuten, und was hat es für uns zu bedeuten, wenn wir Stereotype auf andere anwenden?
Diese und andere Fragen wollen wir mit Jay Howard, einem Nakota, besprechen und lassen den «Talking-Stick» herumgehen.
Das Gespräch wird in englischer Sprache geführt und bei Bedarf übersetzt.

Jay Howard ist Angehöriger der Nakota (Assiniboine), einem der drei „Stämme“ der Sioux Nation. Er ist mit mit Brigitte Howard verheiratet und lebt mit ihr in der Nähe von Langenthal BE.

Stereotypes are probably as diverse as there are people. The „Indian“ stereotype is one of them. What does it mean, and what does it mean for us when we apply stereotypes to others?
We want to discuss these and other questions with Jay Howard, a Nakota, and let the „talking stick“ go around.
The conversation will be conducted in English and translated if necessary.
Jay Howard is a member of the Nakota (Assiniboine), one of the three „tribes“ of the Sioux Nation. He is married to Brigitte Howard and lives with her near Langenthal BE.
